Sun-2/120 configuration guide shows the Sun-2 Ethernet board installed in slot no. 4. This is not the appropriate slot when using a 3-Com Ethernet board. When using a 3-Com Ethernet board, you must use slot 7, 8 or 9 (slot 1 is left when viewed from the front of the cardcage).
